'The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever' by Julia Quinn 4****

2 March 1810...

Today I fell in love.

At the age of ten, Miranda Cheever showed no signs of Great Beauty. And even at ten, Miranda learned to accept the expectations society held for her - until the afternoon when Nigel Bevelstoke, the handsome and dashing Viscount Turner, solemnly kissed the hand and promised her that one day she would grow into herself, that one day she would be as beautiful as she already was smart. And even at ten, Miranda knew she would love him forever.

An enchanting tale that touches the heart, absolutely delightful. Julia Quinn is one of my favourite romantic novelist and she delivers another wonderful story for the reader to immerse herself into. Her characters touch your heart, especially Viscount Turner who has been bitterly disappointed in a terrible marriage. Your heart aches for him to trust in the love that Miranda Cheever wants so desperately to give him.

A beautifully laid out novel, that aches to be read from cover to cover, thoroughly enjoyed reading this one.
